Title Page
The title page was carefully designed to serve as a visual gateway into the world of the book. It brings together key characters, important story elements, and symbolic motifs in a composition that sparks curiosity and encourages readers to discover the connections between them. Every detail was thoughtfully chosen to hint at the deeper layers of the story without revealing its secrets.
Chapter Openings
Each chapter begins with a unique illustration that draws the reader into the atmosphere before the story unfolds.
These illustrations are an integral part of the interior design and accompany the narrative throughout the book.
Layout
The entire book was professionally laid out in Adobe InDesign.
The interior design balances readability with a rich visual experience, carefully coordinating typography, illustrations, and pacing.
Endpapers
The endpapers were custom-designed to complement the book's visual identity and include a dedicated space for a personal inscription.
This element forms part of the overall reading experience and serves as a visual introduction to the story world.
The illustrations were created using a combination of AI-assisted creative tools for visual development, composition exploration, and establishing the book's artistic style. Each illustration was then carefully refined in Adobe Photoshop through an extensive editing process that included color correction, detailed retouching, compositing, and manual adjustments until it perfectly matched the text and the desired atmosphere. This creative process ensured that every illustration enhanced the story and enriched the overall reading experience.
Every illustration went through multiple revisions to achieve perfect harmony with the accompanying text.
Nuriel himself went through an extensive character development process before reaching the final design featured throughout the book and on its cover.
